The Medulla Review Publishing

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

The Medulla Review is an e-book and print-on-demand publisher of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction.  Medulla began as a literary journal, and her aesthetic still caters to innovative writing and places in the hindbrain where breathing, swallowing, and circulation are expressed through words.  She is a venue for those who believe in creating reality.

"Medulla" is the Latin word for "marrow" --- the middle part of a structure.  Bone marrow.  Plant marrow.  The spinal cord.  It's also the name of a record album released in 2004 by Icelandic singer Bj√∂rk, an album stripped of all instruments other than the human voice.

What jars you?  What makes you dance on the staircase of your mind?  It's about the core of things, getting down to the essence: that soft center of being and experience where you are free.
